Retinol is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If either applies to you, do not use the Resurfacing Crème, and talk to your doctor before starting.
If you use prescription tretinoin, never layer it with Resurfacing Crème on the same day. If your skin is currently broken, raw, or reacting to something else, let it calm down before you start Step 2.

Where does the 94% figure come from?
It comes from our own internal review of clients, not a published clinical trial, and we want to be clear about how we counted. We looked only at clients who completed all three phases of the protocol and followed the directions they were given. Of those, 94 in 100 reported reaching their skin goal. The other 6 either had more work to do, felt the results fell short, or did not respond as well as we hoped. People who stopped partway through were not counted, so this describes people who finished, not everyone who ever started. Full method statement →
Will my face peel? What will I look like around day 14?
If you are new to the brand, expect peeling between day 4 and day 14. It typically lasts four to seven days and is most noticeable around the nose, chin and mouth. Some people flake lightly, others more visibly. It is the old surface clearing so the new one can come through. Keep your routine going, add a gentle moisturizer, wear SPF, and never pick at it. Will this bleach or lighten my skin?
No. Nothing here contains hydroquinone or any bleaching agent. We correct tone by calming what is inflamed and resurfacing texture. Your skin tone stays yours.
My skin is sensitive. Is this too strong?

Is this safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Retinol is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Do not use the Resurfacing Crème if either applies to you, and speak with your doctor before starting anything new. The Cleanser and Clarifying Gel are a separate question, so ask your doctor about those too rather than taking our word for it.
Can I keep using my current products?
For the first thirty days, pause them. Otherwise you will not know what is working. If you use prescription tretinoin, never layer it with Resurfacing Crème on the same day.
What if it does not work for me?
You have 60 days from the day it arrives. If you never opened it, send it back for a full refund of the product price. How we measured the 94%
This figure comes from Perfec-Tone's own internal client review. It is not a published clinical trial, and we do not present it as one.
We counted only clients who completed all three phases of the protocol and followed the directions they were given. Clients who did not start the protocol, and clients who stopped before finishing phase two or phase three, were not included. Of the clients who did finish as directed, 94 in 100 reported reaching their skin goal. The remaining 6 either had further work to do, felt the results fell short of what they wanted, or did not respond as well.
Because the figure counts only people who completed the full protocol, it describes the outcome for those who finished, not for everyone who ever began. Individual results vary with skin type, consistency, sun exposure and the concern being treated.
